At Pixel SMP, we recommend you start with our FREE consultation, which can be done by emailing photos, video/zoom conference, or coming to the studio in person.
During the consult, we assess the type of hair loss you have been experiencing and what your goals are with your SMP treatment.
Consultations may also be done on the same day as your first session.
After reviewing your needs, we offer a treatment plan, and schedule your sessions in advance. We will always do our best to accommodate your availability.
Most often, clients book a minimum of 2-3 sessions to get the desires results.
FIRST SESSION
Your first session at Pixel Scalp MicroPigmentation is used to lay the foundation and framework over the area where we will be doing the permanent pigment impressions. We work with you to create your perfect hairline, discuss what style you are looking for, hairline is marked, and the treatment begins. Each session lasts on average about 2-4 hours.
You will see immediate results after your first session and have the appearance of more hair. Once your first treatment successfully takes, you will notice minor lightening of the entire area – which is completely normal. That is why we really need a second and third session to complete the appearance of density.
SECOND & THIRD SESSIONS
During the second session, we will dramatically increase your replicated hair density to create the appearance of fullness and eliminate any sign of previous hair loss. We spend a lot of time blending your pigmented areas into your real hair for a perfectly seamless finish. During these sessions, we can also make minor adjustments to your hairline, if desired.
If you have a third session, we go over your pigment retention rate, everyone’s rate varies, and fill in those areas of the scalp where retention was lighter. This is very common and is remedied in your third (and usually final) session.
AFTERCARE & TOUCH UPS
You must wait 10 days between treatments for optimum healing before doing another session.
Specific, printed sftercare instructions will be provided to you during your first session. It is important to follow them exactly for best healing and treatment outcome. These instructions are the same after each treatment session.
This is a permanent procedure and will last forever, but everyone will need a touch up eventually. Typically we expect touch ups within the 5-8 years.
